The scholarship application deadline is May 1st, applications must be completed and turned in by that date in order to be considered.

 

"2016-2017 Alumni Scholarship Applications"

F.B. Moe Memorial Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,000 to an outstanding student. Provided in memory of Floyd B. Moe who was a long-time educator and administrator in Virginia. This award is based on Scholastic ability (must have 3.5 GPA).

Entering Freshman Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,000 to a high school senior who enrolls as a full-time freshman at Mesabi. This award is based on scholastic ability (must have 3.0 GPA). Freshman is defined as having 0 to 23 college credits.

Margaret Marvin Memorial Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,800. Provided in memory of Margaret Marvin who, for more than 30 years, has been a member and supporter of the Alumni Association. This recipient must demonstrate good character, show leadership skills, and express an interest in pursuing a teaching career.

William Monat Memorial Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,000. Provided in memory of William Monet, a long-time educator, coach, and administrator in Virginia. This award is based on scholastic ability (must have a 3.2 GPA) and is given to an education major.

Returning Sophomore Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,000 to a freshman who enrolls for their sophomore year as a full-time student at Mesabi. This award is based on scholastic ability (must have 3.0 GPA). Sophomore is defined as having 24 or more college credits.

Technical Scholarship - A tuition grant of $1,000 is given to a student who is enrolled as a full-time student in a program offered at the Eveleth campus. 

VJC Payback for Sophomores Scholarship - A tuition grant of $3,000 to an outstanding freshman who enrolls as a full-time sophomore at Mesabi. Provided by the Virginia Junior College Alumni - Class of 1962. Provided in recognition of the pivotal role the college played in assisting them on their journey. This award is based on scholastic ability (must have a 3.0 GPA), community involvement and granted to a student pursuing a degree in STEM or business.
