The Student
Life committee is made up of a cabinet,
which includes: president (sophomore), vice-president, secretary, two student-at-large
representatives, two directors of communications, and one representative
from each active club, organization & athletic
team on both campuses. The cabinet is elected fromthe student body in the
beginning of each year. The representatives are volunteers from their respective
club, organization or athletic program, or they may be chosen by their advisor/coach.
Student Life committee meets in the Student Life room, directly off the Virginia Commons. Any student who is enrolled for at least one credit & maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.0 is eligible to join. During Student Life meetings, we work on planning meaningful and enjoyable events/activities for the students. Some of our larger events include, Homecoming, Snow Week and Spring Fling. We also receive the privilege of making the Student Life Budget decisions. Our meetings are held bi-weekly, rotating between the Eveleth and Virginia campuses. The meetings last roughly an hour and are open to the entire student body, faculty, staff, and administration.
