The Carpenters and Joiners Apprenticeship
Training Center is currently accepting applications for the Carpenter Apprenticeship
program on a year-round basis.
Applications are made in person at 740 Olive St, St. Paul, MN 55130.
Applications are accepted Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM and 1:00
PM-3:00 PM.
The following requirements must be met before someone can apply:
1. Be
not less than 17 years of age.
2. Be an American citizen, or in the process of receiving naturalization.
3. Have either a HS diploma or a GED.
4. Be able to provide documents verifying requirements 1 & 3 above.
5. Be physically able to perform the duties of the craft.
6. Each applicant needs to have the Supervisor of Apprentices for
a Union employer call this office and indicate that they intend to hire
the applicant as a carpenter apprentice.
7. Apply for membership to a Carpenter Local Union and produce a money
order for $126.00 to cover union membership costs.
Special Note: All applicants will serve 60-90 day trial period. During this trial period, all applicants need to remain employed and current with their related training requirements.

and 1:00 PM-3:00 PM.
The following requirements must be met before someone can apply:
1. Be
not less than 17 years of age.
2. Be an American citizen, or in the process of receiving naturalization.
3. Have either a HS diploma or a GED.

qualifying test in order to remain eligible.
Special Note: The Millwrights qualifying test will be given only on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October of each year. The roster of potential applicants is adjusted after potential candidates are tested and interviewed. All applicants who have completed the test and interview process will be ranked in a descending order based on criteria established by the Millwright JATC

to perform duties. Each applicant MUST have the Supervisor of Apprentices

Standards prior to interview; pass Wonderlic assessment battery at date
